Description
As the first gallery to introduce Indonesian artworks to Hong Kong, Sin Sin Fine Art presents Life Records I, showcasing 12 early works by 11 renowned Indonesian artists alongside pieces by its founder, Sin Sin Man.
This exhibition is inspired by the founder’s life-changing trip to Yogyakarta in 2003, where she encountered contemporary Indonesian art and a group of emerging local artists, which led to the establishment of the gallery.
Featured artists include Abdi Setiawan, Bob Yudhita Agung, Dwi Setianto, Eddie Hara, Eddi Prabandono, Fauzie As’ad, Kokok P. Sancoko, S. Teddy Darmawan, Pande Ketut Taman, Putu Sutawijaya and Tisna Sanjaya. The selected artworks trace the artists’ journeys and reflect the growth that has shaped who they are today, encompassing diverse mediums from sculptures and installations to ink paintings and drawings.
