Likes & Lies: Online Truths and Friendship

Description

From 13 to 15 November, theatre performance Likes & Lies dives into the digital-age challenges of friendship and romance. Set against the backdrop of social media, protagonists Savannah and Chun navigate the complexities of online personas, likes and filters, discovering what it means to be truly authentic. 

Performed by young Hong Kong artists aged 9 to 25, the musical features original music by multidisciplinary artist Amuer Calderon and is written and directed by Lindsey McAlister, founder of the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation (HKYAF). Co-presented and co-produced by WestK and HKYAF, Likes & Lies offers a compelling and relatable exploration of online integrity and youth experiences in today’s digital world. 

Between 13 and 15 November, the show will be held in the evening from 19:30 to 21:00. Then, on 15 November, an afternoon performance will be held from 14:30 to 16:00.
