Living in Compassion: The Art of Chu Hing Wah
Why We Recommend it
A major retrospective of Chu Hing Wah, Living in Compassion showcases the fine brush work and sensitive spirit of the established local artist.
Organised in two parts, this showcase will feature over 60 masterpieces from the early 1960s to 2017. Painting predominantly in ink, Chu Hing Wah’s gentle and expressive compositions evoke warm, candid scenes of the life that surrounds him.
With his distinctive colour palette, the artist intimately paints enigmatic figures, some lonely and pensive, others enjoying the radiance of good company. His eye for elegantly suggesting the rich inner lives of his subjects can be enjoyed at the exhibit which will also concluded with the launch of Wah’s new book.
