Join the Lung Fu Shan Nature and History Walk

Why We Recommend it
Discover Lung Fu Shan, Hong Kong’s smallest country park, through a guided hike that highlights rich biodiversity, wartime relics and heritage waterworks. The walk is led by geographer and educator Arthur Yeung.
Description
Led by Arthur Yeung, embark on a guided hike along the Lung Fu Shan Trail, where Hong Kong’s smallest country park reveals an impressive range of biodiversity, including over 115 species of birds and other wildlife like butterflies. This moderately easy and mostly downhill journey is suitable for participants of all fitness levels.
Starting at the iconic Peak Tower and winding through tranquil woodlands, the approximately three-hour walk offers glimpses of rare flora and fauna at every turn. Along the way, encounter wartime relics like the Pinewood Battery, a British-era fortification, and one of the last remaining Victoria City boundary stones. The trail also passes heritage waterworks buildings on the University of Hong Kong campus, providing insight into the city’s early water supply history. Blending nature, history and urban heritage, this field trip is ideal for curious explorers eager to connect with Hong Kong’s hidden treasures.
