Hong Kong Maritime Museum: Free Admission to Special Lighthouse Exhibition

Why We Recommend it
The Hong Kong Maritime Museum will be offering visitors free admission to a special lighthouse-themed programme to celebrate International Museum Day.
Description
To celebrate International Museum Day, the Hong Kong Maritime Museum will be offering visitors free admission to a special lighthouse-themed programme on Saturday 16 May and Sunday 17 May, which is co-organised by the Hong Kong Society for the Blind and the City University of Hong Kong’s Lighthouse Heritage Research Connections.
The programme celebrates the concept of museums for all via the engaging maritime story of local lighthouses and how they helped develop the prosperous port of Hong Kong. The highlight of the programme is a special exhibition and presentation of seven interactive 3D models of some of the Hong Kong’s best-known historical lighthouses. City University alumni will be explaining the models and the importance of lighthouses to the development of the city.
General guided tours, an entertaining programme of events, and even free nautical-themed stickers will be available over the weekend at the museum.
