Description

Prolific composer/pianist Max Richter (b. 1966) is best known for his melancholic, boundary-transcending work, which interweaves contemporary classical music with popular music styles, ambient sounds, voices, and poetry and text readings.

Apart from composing and recording his own music, Richter writes scores for cinema (Ridley Scott, André Téchiné, Denis Villeneuve) , performing arts productions (Wayne Mc Gregor) and media artists (Hannes Koch and Florian Ortkrass, Darren Almond)

.In his Hong Kong debut show, Richter will perform his lauded amorphous debut album Memoryhouse (2002), as well as Recomposed (2012), his innovative recomposition of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons.
