Why We Recommend it
Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the liveliest and most cherished holidays in Hong Kong, by savouring mountains of moreish mooncakes.
Falling on the 15th day of the eighth month in the lunar calendar, the Mid-Autumn Festival (also known as the Moon festival) is a centuries-old harvest festival well established in myth and lore, on which families get together and display offerings in honour of the full moon.
In Hong Kong, the festival is celebrated with a wide range of activities such as making and sharing mooncakes, lantern exhibitions, carnivals, and fire dragon dances.
