MusiCLAY: Where Ceramics Meets Music

Why We Recommend it

From 14 to 16 November, MusiCLAY fuses the tactile art of ceramics with lively music, offering hands-on workshops, interactive installations and live performances at The Mills.

Description

Organised by St. James’ Creation under the Rehabilitation Services of St. James’ Settlement, MusiCLAY is a cross-disciplinary exhibition that unites ceramics and music through five standout experiences. Join communal clay jamming and a large-scale sculpture experience led by ceramic cerators C Fu Jai, feel the rhythm in ceramic percussion workshops, immerse in interactive art installations blending sound, light and movement, and explore a community exhibition showcasing over a hundred handmade ceramic instruments. The grand finale features live performances by local artists, including indie band The Hertz, a local group known for blending funk, rock and alternative music primarily sung in Cantonese. Light artist Amy Chan, sound artist Kin Lam and ceramic creators C Fu Jai will also feature in the grand finale, whose combined multisensory act fuses clay, electronic sound and light into a mesmerising act.

As part of the Our Stories community arts programme, MusiCLAY celebrates creativity as a shared experience that fosters connection, inspiration and dialogue. Whether you’re new to art or a seasoned creator, MusiCLAY offers a dynamic space to shape, play and feel the rhythm of art come alive through clay and music.

The event will be held from 14 to 16 November, from 12:00 to 19:00.
