Description
Ou Da-wei, winner of the Urban Council Fine Arts Awards in Chinese Calligraphy in 1989, is known for his landscapes and calligraphic strokes that endow his works with intense emotion, spirit and charm. His calligraphic style in both seal and clerical script reflects the solemnity and harmony of his character.
The local literati art virtuoso is equally knowledgeable in Chinese poetry, which he uses to accompany his paintings and calligraphy works. His poems express his innermost feelings in simple words that carry a deep meaning and can uplift people’s hearts.
The exhibition will showcase 40 of Ou’s recent landscapes, calligraphy works and seal carvings to highlight his pursuit of rejuvenating traditional Chinese art.
