[Cancelled] Chicano Psych-Pop: Omar Apollo Live in Hong Kong

Why We Recommend it
Mexican-American singer-songwriter Omar Apollo brings his psychedelically soulful music to Hong Kong as part of his first Asian tour.
Description
This event has been cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.
Pysch pop’s latest star Omar Apollo is making his Hong Kong debut as part of his first Asian tour. Apollo is a 22-year-old, first-generation Mexican-American singer from Indiana, who began writing and recording his own mix of jazz, R&B, funk, alternative, soul, and pop music from an early age. The DIY pop auteur fuses the sultry sounds of Prince and D’angelo with Mexican soul and traditional corridos.
Citing influences such as Benny Sings, Los Panchos, John Mayer, Elliott Smith, Cuco Sánchez, and João Gilberto, the self-taught singer songwriter released his first single “Ugotme” in 2017. It went viral overnight and marked Apollo out in the new generation of artists to watch. Two subsequent EPs have followed along with back-to-back sell-out headline tours throughout North America, making him one of the most exciting acts breaking out of the States right now.
