Open-Studio Residency: Hong Kong Artist Andrew Luk at De Sarthe

Why We Recommend it
De Sarthe’s first artist residency gives local artist Andrew Luk a chance to work in a big space and visitors the chance to see him at work.
Description
The new residency program challenges the conventional relationship between artists’ studios and galleries, subverting both the notion of privacy within creation and altering the nature of a gallery space.
During the residency, Luk will be working on four new series that use mediums like resin, vaporized superglue, aluminum, concrete, and found objects. One of the series will take the form of a large-scale, functional installation.
Visitors are invited to pop in and watch the artist at work throughout the gallery ‘s usual opening hours (Tuesday to Saturday 11.00am to 7.00pm).
