Why We Recommend it

Osage Gallery’s new exhibition presents the Okei Collection of rare Chinese teas dating from the 1950s, complemented by tasting sessions in March.

Description

What Time Leaves Behind: Tea as Artifact · Tea as Memory at Osage Gallery presents the Okei Collection of Chinese tea, comprising rare specimens dating from the 1950s. These aged teas are displayed alongside petrified wood dating back 200 million years and contemporary artworks, inviting visitors to reflect on preservation and transformation, human-scale time versus geological time and memory as a material phenomenon.

Accompanying the exhibition are afternoon tea tastings, which will be held on 28 February, and on 7, 14, 21 and 28 March. Limited capacity and pre-registration is required.
