Description
POV: Mapping the Ordinary encourages viewers to slow down and find meaning in everyday moments across Sham Shui Po. This two-day event from 22 to 23 November showcases photography, videos, soundscapes and photowalks that reveal the quiet stories behind daily life, sparking curiosity and connection to the city.
Four Hong Kong-based photographers bring diverse perspectives: Zolima CityMag’s Sofia Lisi highlights daily life with a touch of humour through photos and short iPhone videos; Josie Chong documents the bustling flea markets and secondhand treasures with an intimate, film-inspired eye; Karen Lee channels nostalgia and healing in her reflections on the city’s transformation and Jenny Imthanavanich combines film images with ambient sounds to evoke the neighbourhood’s rhythm. Collectively, they craft a heartfelt tribute to Sham Shui Po’s unique everyday beauty.
