Richard Crosbie Paints Hong Kong’s Landscapes

Description

Delve into the emotional and artistic response of locally-based artist Richard Crosbie to his ever-changing surroundings in Hong Kong in Hong Kong Moments. Originally from Wales, Crosbie has called the city home since 1996, transitioning from product design to art during the pandemic. In four years, he has created a remarkable body of hand-drawn and painted media such as watercolours, inks and pens.

Through 60 works on display, the exhibition is a testament to Hong Kong’s unique and dynamic urban charm, weaving together personal narratives of self-discovery and belonging. Moreover, Crosbie’s pieces capture the intricate contrasts between old and new, tradition and modernity – reflecting a profound connection with the city itself.
