American Artists Richard Serra and Suzan Frecon at David Zwirner Gallery
Why We Recommend it
This exhibit brings together works by two noted contemporary American artists, who are exhibiting in Hong Kong for the first time.
For almost five decades, Suzan Frecon has created abstract oil paintings and works on paper which are made over long stretches of time. Frecon’s new paintings, which are coming to Hong Kong, feature asymmetrical balances and interacting arrangements of colour, emitting “a fantasia of colour”.
Richard Serra is known for his large-scale, site-specific sculptures, but has also consistently produced black paintstick (compressed oil paint, wax, and pigment) drawings, which manifest the notions of time and materiality.
The works of each artist will be presented on a different floor.
