Why We Recommend it
The Habanera Saxophone Quartet teams up with the City Chamber Orchestra of Hong Kong for an animated performance of French, Turkish and Tango-inspired music.

Formed in 1993, this saxophone quartet is renowned for their eclectic concerts featuring classics, modern works and improvisation.
Organised as a part of Le French May, the programme features the smoky tones of Argentine tango composer Astor Piazzolla’s Three Pieces for Chamber Orchestra, Spanish pianist and composer Ferrer Ferran’s Saxiland for Saxophone Quartet and Strings, as well as the Asian premiere of Turkish pianist and composer’s Fazil Say’s exotic Four Preludes for Saxophone Quartet and Strings.
