Crossover Jazz Sensation Shaolin Fez Performs at Fringe Club

Why We Recommend it

Hong Kong-based band Shaolin Fez will perform original Symphonic Jazz Rock music from its newly crowdfunded EP, as well as unique arrangements of standards.

Description

Shaolin Fez launched in 2012 with the release of its album, Calm Your Storm, and made its debut at Clockenflap later in the same year. The mini orchestra is renowned for their unique and eclectic blend of retro sound, acid jazz, R&B, symphonic disco, cinematic and funk music.

Held at Fringe Dairy, this concert marks the launch of Shaolin Fez’s new EP. Revenue from all sales of the EP will be donated towards refugee relief efforts in Yemen.

This show is presented by the Fringe Club as a part of their Jazz+ programme, which consists of crossover performances between jazz and other genres. The programme runs until May this year.
