This autumn, Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary Evening Auction offers a distinguished selection of masterpieces.
Leading the sale is contemporary artist Yoshitomo Nara’s “Can’t Wait ’till the Night Comes,” the largest known canvas from his Children of the Night series, presenting a mischievous figure that combines innocence. Alongside this work is Roy Lichtenstein’s “Vista with Bridge,” which uses his distinctive pop art style to depict a mountain imagery. Pablo Picasso’s remarkable portrait of a musketeer, “Buste d’homme,” showcases the artist’s mastery of form and iconography. Collectively, these works highlight the dynamic range and artistic excellence that define this auction.
Sotheby’s Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale will take place on 28 September from 18:00 onwards, while the Day Sale will begin on 29 September at 10:00.
