South Island Gallery Tour: Discover Art and Culture in the Southern District

Discover Wong Chuk Hang and Tin Wan’s vibrant arts scene through a free guided tour, organised by the Hong Kong Art Gallery Association (HKAGA), that covers seven galleries.

Description

Taking place from 3pm to 7pm, the tour consists of seven gallery visits across the Southern District of Hong Kong Island. Participants will be spending 20-30 minutes at each gallery, where they are given a guided tour around the exhibitions by one of the staff members at the gallery.

A shuttle bus has been arranged for transportation to galleries, as well as back to the departure point.

The tour programme covers the following galleries and exhibitions: Empty Gallery (Tishan Hsu: Delete, Cici Wu: Unfinished Return), Alisan Fine Arts (Women + Ink, China + Hong Kong),  de Sarthe (Lin Jingjing: Lov-Lov Shop), McNamara Art Projects (Clemens Wolf: Out of the Blue), Pékin Fine Arts (Pieter Hugo: Africa to China), Rossi & Rossi (Erbossyn Meldibekov: Seasons, Vanni Cuoghi: The Eye of the Storm), Axel Vervoordt Gallery (Group Exhibition: Infinitive Mutability).

With over 50 art galleries as members, our mission is to advance the Hong Kong art gallery community by providing one voice to its members, reaching out to the local and international art community, and helping deepen market knowledge and best practices amongst its members.
