The Curious Symbols of Lithuanian Artist Gedvile Grace Bunikyte

Why We Recommend it

Bunikyte’s conceptual minimalism draws on diverging intellectual strands of thought to create arresting visuals.

Description

A visual artist from Vilnius, Lithuania, Bunikyte’s works are predominately on one medium: paper, which she uses to explore philosophical, psychological and mystical fascinations using geometric abstractions.

Rich with associations, Bunikyte’s striking symbols draw from inspirations that reflect the artist’s curious and inquisitive mind. For example, while some works draw from the  theories and writings of 20th physicist David Bohm others are influenced by the poetry of Yeats and cave drawings.
