Description
Comprising of four friends; three Danes and one Norwegian cellist, The Danish String Quartet was first founded in 2001 when its members were teenagers. Known as “your friendly neighbourhood string quartet with above average amounts of beard” and renowned for their diverse programming and versatile playing style, the quartet has received critical acclaim throughout their years together.
In their Hong Kong debut concert, they will perform Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 13, which will be juxtaposed with a vivacious folk music mix from Nordic countries. Concluding the performance will be Beethoven’s String Quartet No. 15 in A minor, Op. 132.
