The Sea Within: An Audio and Visual Voyage

Why We Recommend it

A music appreciation session is followed by a screening of local director Wong Wai-nap’s short, semi-autobiographical film The Sea Within.

Organised by Duddell’s and the Hong Kong Arts Centre, ifva, and KEF music gallery this intimate event will see a music appreciation session, film screening and a meet-the-filmmaker sharing session.

The Sea Within (Hong Kong, 2014) is a thirty-minute-long film that stars a fishermen couple, Ah Shing and Mei-wah, who struggle to reconcile their reality and their dream life as the local fishing industry declines. The story is based on the lives of director Wong Wai-nap’s parents, who play the lead roles in the short.

The film will be shown in KEF’s Extreme Home Theatre with Dolby Atmos system 7.2.4 for a sensory experience.
