Time Will Tell: Stanley Wong x Anothermountainman

Why We Recommend it

Stanley Wong, alias anothermountainman, an award-winning visual communicator from Hong Kong, showcases his “Positive Hong Kong redwhiteblue” series, graphic designs and promotion campaigns created in his 40-year creative career.

Description

Presented in three sections – black, white and grey, the exhibition features Stanley Wong’s (aka. anothermountainman) personal works, including the renowned “Positive Hong Kong redwhiteblue” series; his graphic design and advertising creatives, such as the MTR advertisements in the early 1990s, which is first shown in public; and his brand-building and promotion campaigns that focus on social values.

The exhibition reveals the artistic growth and creative transformations of the artist, who takes up different artistic roles as anothermountainman and Stanley Wong. The exhibition will be companioned by a series of public programmes, including a guided tour by the artist himself on 1 December 2019.

The screening of Dance Goes On, a long-planned dance movie project, will take place on 16 November and 1 December 2019. It is a dance experimentation project without a stage, audience or format boundaries, initiated by Stanley Wong (anothermountainman) and three of his choreographer friends, Mui Cheuk-yin, Xing Liang and Yuri Ng.

There will also be a lecture by the artist who will share with the participants his creative thinking, the creative ideas behind his works, and the ways in which he conveys society’s spiritual outlook and communicates with people through his creations, by re-visiting his 40-year journey in design and art.
