Tomorrow Maybe Presents Video and Animation Exhibition by Director Kong Kee

Why We Recommend it

Famed animation director Kong Kee showcases his work in a quirky exhibition inspired by Hong Kong culture.

Description

Moon in the Water features animation director Kong Kee’s newest works of immersive installations and video artworks that explore the illusion of time. Videos played in parallel in two separate spaces are not seen the same way by two different people, reflecting the artist’s musings on how no two moments in life are the same, and the irreversibility of life. The works are introverted and reflective, an intentional stylistic choice to give viewers a moment of meditation and stillness during the pandemic.

Moon in the Water is the latest chapter of Kong Kee’s larger animation film project, Dragon’s Delusion. It is a cyberpunk animation set against the futuristic backdrop of Hong Kong, and was launched in 2018 after successfully crowdfunding HK$1.5 million.
