Description
Taking place on every Sunday* from 11am to 5pm between 5 November 2017 to 11 February 2018, the Tong Chong Street Market (TCSM) is a colourful assembly of food trucks, movable food stalls and shops selling sustainable products and homegrown produce.
TCSM’s series of monthly spotlight themes will feature over 40 innovative food experts, passionate food vendors and local farmers for a unique tasting experience, the first being the Coffee Festival in November. Marketgoers can indulge in a tasting journey with local and overseas coffee vendors, and take part in workshops for coffee appreciation and to upcycle coffee remains.
December will see the ‘Pot Festival, during which visitors can enjoy hearty winter dishes, followed by soups and other “Winter Warmers” in January and February to get through the chilly winter weather.
The weekly market also offers a dining experience on an iconic double-decker bus, and will sell a wide array of products that will make green living easier, such as tote bags, eco-friendly utensils, homemade soap, and fertilisers made from coffee remains.
*Please note that the market will be closed on 3, 24 and 31 December.
