Alisan Fine Arts explores how contemporary ink painting has made its way around the world through the diligent work of Asian artists.
To reinvent ink art, these artists rethink their use of media, choice of subject matter, presentation and composition. Artists featured include American photographer Michael Cherney, Chinese-American artist Walasse Ting, internationally-acclaimed Mainland Chinese artists Zhang Yu, Nan Qi and Lan Zheng-hui, Hong Kong sculptor Kum Chi-keung and emerging artist Zhang Yi-rong.
