Iconic Artworks reinterpreted with digital algorithms, Monochrome C-prints and more

Why We Recommend it
Featuring photography and new media pieces from local and international artists, this exhibit offers a fresh take on classical works, inviting viewers to reassess their understanding of the narratives that come with enduring art.
Description
The works of five artists, Doreen Chan, Gordon Cheung, James Clar, Alejandro Guijarro and Troika, use novel technology but draw on enduring themes and aesthetics in this multimedia show.
The expansive show, entitled ‘Transmission’, features digital algorithmic paintings, reconfigured sculptures, LED installations and monochrome e-prints of x-rayed classical paintings and blackboards. These works demonstrate how technological systems can determine creative outcomes, calling to the question beliefs around creativity and the future of art.
