Korean Abstract Art Resonates in Unfolding Silence

Why We Recommend it

Unfolding Silence unites six prominent Korean abstract artists, revealing the quiet beauty of thought, time and nature.

Description

Unfolding Silence highlights the works of six prominent contemporary Korean abstract artists — Kwon Soonik, Bae Sangsun, Woo Jong-Taek, Jeong Yun Kyung, Kim Deok Han and Lee Chae — in a collaborative project between Whitestone Gallery, Gallery Exit, Soluna Fine Art and Stroll Gallery.

Through diverse techniques like layered clay and ink, the artists invite visitors into meditative spaces where emotion, reflection and nature unfold. For example, Kwon Soonik’s layered clay and graphite works capture narratives of healing and memory through time and patience, while Bae Sangsun’s Morphing Void series on black velvet explores the tension between chaos and creation. Woo Jong-Taek’s powerful gestures in ink and white clay evoke a dialogue with nature and the cosmos. Unfolding Silence reveals the depth of abstraction, offering an evocative visual journey that provides a more intimate connection with Korean art.
