Uniquely Hong Kong: A Celebration of Hong Kong Art

Why We Recommend it

Alisan Fine Arts celebrates Hong Kong art by showcasing over 70 works by 28 local artists, including works by masters Wucius Wong and Lui Shou-kwan.

With the aim of supporting Hong Kong’s local art community, Alisan Fine Arts presents the exhibition Uniquely Hong Kong, showcasing over 70 pieces of artworks by 28 local artists. A large number of the works featured were created over the last six months during extremely unsettling times in the city.

Works at Uniquely Hong Kong were created with various forms of media ranging from ink on paper, seen in the works by masters Lui Shou-kwan, Irene Chou, Fang Zhao-ling, Wucius Wong, Kan Tai-keung, Fung Ming-chip, Chu Hing Wah, to multimedia such as steel, ceramic, bamboo and digital media by sculptors Kum Chi-keung, Man Fung-yi, Rosanna Li, Danny Lee, Mok Yat-san and Fiona Wong. In addition, we will also have artwork displayed by emerging artists Cherie Cheuk, Hui Hoi-kiu, Zhang Xiaoli and Ling Pui-sze.

A series of monthly talks will be organised alongside the exhibition. Artists and scholars will be invited to discuss the topic of Hong Kong artists and share their thoughts on their future in an ever-changing art scene.
