Pearl Lines: Walter Price’s First Solo Show in HK

Why We Recommend it

Walter Price’s first Asia solo, Pearl Lines at David Zwirner Hong Kong, blends dynamic abstraction and perspective shifts in new paintings.

Description

Pearl Lines is artist Walter Price’s first solo exhibition in Asia and his second with David Zwirner since joining in 2024 (the first was in Los Angeles). Known for richly coloured canvases and works on paper, Price defies strict representational or abstract categories. His paintings play freely with colour, line and space, while emphatic perspective shifts evoke open-ended scenes for viewer interpretation.

This Hong Kong show highlights new works like “Leaky roof” that invite contemplation of shifting viewpoints and unbound imagery. Price’s work also appears in the 2025–2026 group exhibition MONUMENTS, co-organised by The Brick and Museum of Contemporary Art Los Angeles.

On 24 March, there will be an opening reception from 17:00 to 19:00.
