Description
Marking its 35th anniversary, Hong Kong Science Museum presents Wildlife Photographer of the Year, a special exhibition featuring award‑winning images from the 61st Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition organised by the Natural History Museum, London. The photographs, drawn from across the globe, capture the raw beauty and fragility of the natural world while highlighting conservation challenges such as habitat fragmentation and climate change.
Alongside this is the Hong Kong Science Museum 35th Anniversary Exhibition, which traces the institution’s journey since 1991, revisiting landmark displays, early innovations and the story behind the museum’s iconic Energy Machine, with an AI‑powered photo booth that blends playful interaction with lasting memories.
Complementing the exhibitions, the museum is enhancing the Energy Machine with a limited-time “Energy x Light” installation from 17 to 29 April. The programme also features a Science Fun Day and guided tours on climate and biodiversity on 18 April, animal-care talks presented by Ocean Park and a sci-fi film series — featuring WALL·E, Tomorrowland, Bicentennial Man and Gattaca — accompanied by science talks running from 18 to 26 April.
