Wilson Shieh’s Skyscraper Women: An Exhibit

Why We Recommend it

Playful ink artist Wilson Shieh superimposes female characters onto Hong Kong’s iconic edifices, and has over the years garnered acclaim for offering that unique vision of the city.

In a solo exhibition, venerable Hong Kong artist Wilson Shieh showcases his anthropomorphised city scapes which he creates with intricate, gong bi style ink brushstrokes.

Shieh’s works are playful, architectural studies that are also inspired by the interplay of masculine and feminine energies. He likes to blur the boundaries of gender in subtly subversive ways.
