Wolfgang Tillmans’ Still Life and Portraiture at David Zwirner Gallery
Why We Recommend it
Spread over the four exhibition spaces of the newly opened Hong Kong gallery, the show features several new works not publicly shown before: pictures of intimacy and friendship with views and angles of the world at large.
In line with Tillmans’ interest in exhibitions as amplifiers of a particular underlying perspective, each of the works engages in an intricate system of relationships between its aesthetic elements, subject, and institutional setting. Seen together, they invite the viewer into an active dialogue with the works.
