Why We Recommend it

Yam Shalev’s oil paintings capture fleeting moments like midnight snacks and morning breezes, aiming to turn them into palpable opportunities for reflection.

Description

Yam Shalev’s first solo exhibition in Hong Kong invites viewers to explore the beauty of fleeting moments. His oil paintings on canvas aim to capture simple serendipitous experiences, such as sneaking a midnight snack or feeling the morning breeze before dawn. Shalev’s works, which frequently include tables, food, and still-life elements, hope to seize these fragments of our lives and turn them into opportunities we can appreciate.

Born in 1996 in Tel Aviv, Shalev has gained recognition for his work, showcasing at notable art fairs like the Untitled Art Fair in Miami and the CAN Art Fair in Ibiza. Featured works include “La Brocherie Mandelieu” (2025), “Dreams in Pairs” (2025), and “When the Day Ends” (2025).
