Take a closer look at—and listen to—the music in Hong Kong cinema in this free talk organised as a part of the Hong Kong French Film Festival’s retrospective.
Arnaud Lanuque—Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau employee by day, film historian by night—will show excerpts from famous movies to offer a closer look at the role of music in Hong Kong films.
Lanuque has been researching and writing about the Hong Kong cinema for over 15 years. In 2017, he published a book on Hong Kong police and gangster films: Police vs Syndicats du crime – Les polars et films de triades dans le cinéma de Hong Kong.
