HKBU BAVA Grad Show 2026

Why We Recommend it

Themed “until I reach the nano,” Hong Kong Baptist University’s Bachelor of Applied Visual Arts Grad Show 2026 explores persistence and process, alongside AVA Fest’s art stalls and label‑design workshop.

Description

From 30 May to 21 June, the Hong Kong Baptist University Academy of Visual Arts (AVA) presents its 2026 Grad Show, themed “until I reach the nano,” at the Kai Tak campus. Drawing from the scientific pursuit of graphene, the theme reflects a shared artistic impulse: to persist, refine and probe deeper despite uncertainty. Across studio practices and research-led works, graduating students foreground process as both method and subject, revealing the intensity and resilience behind their creative development.

Running alongside the exhibition, AVA Fest will be held on 13 June and activates the campus with artist-led stalls and an interactive Label Design x Art Jamming workshop. Participants can create custom beverage labels. Together, the exhibition and festival offer a textured view of AVA’s community — one shaped by experimentation, dialogue and sustained inquiry. Visitors are invited to encounter not only finished works, but the layered processes and questions that continue to drive emerging artistic voices. Pre-registration is also required.
