Artist Leung Mee-ping Shares Her Experiences in Japan

Description

In February, artist Leung Mee-ping embarked on an artist residency at the International Art Village in Akiyoshidai, Japan. Surrounded by pristine nature and mysterious caves, Leung not only created art but also curated exhibitions, held workshops and engaged in meaningful conversations with local ceramic artists.

Leung’s experiences highlight how artists can communicate beyond cultural differences and language barriers. On 10 May at ACO in the Foo Tak Building, she will share first-hand experiences of her residency, insights from engaging with locals and practical information on applying for artist residencies in Japan.

The sharing session will be conducted in Cantonese.
